GARTEL: INGENUITY FESTIVAL

My trip to Cleveland and participation in the INGENUITY FESTIVAL was a real treat.
Good to see a city embracing art and bringing culture to its people. Cleveland has
a lot of creativity going on. It needs to be continuously nurtured. As always I tried to
squeeze out as much as I possibly could. Always invigorating meeting new people from
the Cleveland Botanical Gardens to the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art
Cleveland along with all the musicians who filled the air with their sounds. What did
I do? I introduced the city to huge giant canvas prints produced on HP printers. These
large scale pieces were completely eye opening. Never before did so many people
ask me questions of how they were produced. Most of the works were of my latest trip
to INDIA and I showed one large abstract work which was my latest creation. People
didnt realize you could get so much color out of a digital image. Its a real educational
process. Everything looks better with an Absolut martini, what can I say?!! - Cheers,
